HackGTBIT

IOSD GTBIT brings Guru Teg Bahadur Institute of Technology's greatest and largest 24 hour hackathon. With participation from colleges all across Delhi and developers divergent to different frameworks and languages, this Hackathon is not only about competition but about witnessing a whole new level of ideas and creativity. The word "Hack" of Hackathon describes how different technologies come together to solve a problem. Teams of up to 4 people will be working on innovative software and hardware solutions to real-world problems. These projects range in platform and application, including development, mobile development, IOT solutions, and more.

Timeline

Check-in

Selected teams will have to register at the venue. Please reach on time as registration desk will close at 9:00 AM.

Opening Ceremony

The theme of the hackathon will be announced. Participants will be informed of the code of conduct and necessary rules to be followed during the hackathon by 9:30 AM

Commencement of Hackathon

The teams will be allotted venues and dispersed to their respective locations at sharp 10 AM.




Lunch

Lunch break for all our participants at 2 PM.


Evening Snacks

A suggested break to refuel and relax.


Completion of Hackathon

Teams will pitch their project to the judges and final prizes will be distributed after judges have concluded.

Rules

  • Selection will be done on the basis of the registration form submitted. All girls' teams would be given a preference during selection.
  • The decision of organizers is final for selecting the teams for the event.
  • You must be at the allotted location to work on a project for submission.
  • You cannot work on your project before the event begins.
  • You cannot discuss strategy, suggestions or tips with other teams.
  • You cannot steal another team's source code.
  • Top 10 teams will be selected for pitching in the final round. All girls' teams would have separate shortlisting for this round.
  • After every evaluation round, scores will be awarded to respective teams.
  • Please comply with all instructions from HackGTBIT organizers.
  • There will be an evaluation round after every 6 hours.
  • The decision of judges is final for determining prizes and awards.

How big a team can be?

The maximum team size is 4 and lone wolves are also welcome. Participants are selected on an individual basis and can team up on the spot as well.

Who can participate?

This is a student hackathon and only students are allowed to participate.
